How it decides
Below €2,000, Spanish law requires neither lawyer nor procurador in small claims, and the scales tell you so. Between €2,000 and €10,000 the case is real, but it falls below our litigation threshold, and a local practice will handle it better and for less. The only exception is something at stake that matters more than the money, and we decide that with the case in front of us.
We set a cap: our fees should not exceed 20% of what is at stake. Put another way, we only litigate when what is at stake is worth at least five times what we charge. When the fees sit around that line, the matter is decided with the case in front of us.
The fee pan starts from our published minimums: €600 out of court, €2,000 on the small claims track and €3,000 on the ordinary track, plus an adjustment if the case is complex. The procurador, the expert, foreseeable expenses and VAT do not weigh on the scales, because they are not fees, but the ticket adds them on top so you see the full outlay. The result is an estimate. The fixed price comes in the engagement letter.

No. Everything is calculated in your browser.
No. It is an estimate based on our minimums; the fixed price is set in the engagement letter.
Fees are shown without VAT, as in our fee policy. The ticket adds it on top at 21%, because the client always pays it.
Mark it in slot 02. The scales add weight for what the number cannot hold, and that case is assessed in a Virtual Consultation.
With the 20% cap, the fees would not allow us to work the matter the way we work.
