Un pleito se gana dos veces: primero en el expediente y después en la sala. La primera victoria depende de la capacidad de documentar, ordenar y verificar cada pieza del asunto, y ahí un despacho pequeño solía perder frente a uno grande por pura fuerza de trabajo. Nuestros procesos están digitalizados de principio a fin, así que esa desventaja ya no existe: dos abogados con el mismo alcance documental que una planta entera de un edificio de oficinas.

La segunda convicción es que el conflicto empieza mucho antes de la demanda. Desde 2025 no se puede demandar en lo civil sin haber intentado antes un acuerdo, y muchos asuntos se cierran en esa fase con un requerimiento bien construido y un calendario de negociación. Tratamos esa etapa como parte del encargo, no como un trámite previo.

La tercera es la más impopular en el sector: a veces la respuesta correcta es no pleitear. Solo aceptamos asuntos judiciales con más de 10.000 € en juego y nunca cobramos más del 20 % de la cuantía; La Balanza aplica esas mismas reglas antes de que nos escribas. Cuando sí compensa, el juicio civil tiene precio cerrado en la hoja de encargo, procurador incluido, y ese es el importe que pagas.

A lawsuit is won twice: first in the file and then in the courtroom. The first victory depends on the capacity to document, order and verify every piece of the matter, and that is where a small firm used to lose to a large one through sheer manpower. Our processes are digital from end to end, so that disadvantage no longer exists: two lawyers with the same documentary reach as a whole floor of an office building.

The second conviction is that the dispute begins long before the claim is filed. Since 2025 no civil claim can be filed in Spain without a prior attempt at settlement, and many matters close at that stage with a well-built formal notice and a negotiation calendar. We treat that stage as part of the engagement, not as a formality before the real work.

The third is the least popular in the profession: sometimes the right answer is not to litigate. We only take court matters with more than 10,000 euros at stake and we never charge more than 20% of the amount; The Scales apply those same rules before you write to us. When it is worth it, a civil lawsuit has a fixed price in the engagement letter, court agent included, and that is the amount you pay.

La cuantía ha ido desde monitorios sencillos hasta asuntos mercantiles de más de 300.000 €, y las primeras victorias llegaron pronto: una ante un Tribunal Superior de Justicia antes de terminar la carrera, otra frente a un gran banco pocos meses después de la colegiación.

La especialización es mercantil y administrativa. En contencioso-administrativo cubrimos desde la vía administrativa hasta el tribunal con un solo precio fijo, y hemos publicado cuánto cuesta con cifras. Cuando el conflicto entra por correo certificado, la guía del burofax explica qué hacer en las primeras 48 horas.
